Review: If you’re looking for a big-screen LCD TV that offers excellent picture quality at a reasonable price, the Samsung LN55C650 should be at the top of your list. While this HDTV doesn’t feature new technologies such as LED backlighting or 3D support, it performs extremely well for a conventional LCD TV and offers a lot of useful features. Picture quality is excellent with deep blacks and rich colors, and Samsung provides plenty of picture adjustment options for calibration. This TV also features Auto Motion Plus 120Hz processing, which works very well with some sources but not all. Samsung gives you the option to turn it off if desired, as well as a Custom mode which lets you fine-tune the settings for Blur Reduction and Judder Reduction to your liking. If you’re a gamer, there’s a Game Mode which reduces input lag to very reasonable levels.
The LN55C650 is equipped with an Ethernet port for accessing Samsung Apps, which include Netflix for instantly streaming movies and TV shows, Amazon Video on Demand, YouTube, Pandora Internet Radio, and many more. There’s also DLNA support, which lets you stream audio, video, or photo files from a networked PC. With an optional wireless adapter, you can also stream content via Wi-Fi. In addition to Ethernet, this set is equipped with 4 HDMI inputs, 2 component inputs, composite, 2 USB ports, and a PC input, offering plenty of connectivity options.
This HDTV is very sleek and features Samsung’s Red Touch of Color, which is very subtle compared to previous models. However, depending on your preferences, you may prefer the Charcoal Grey Touch of Color found on the slightly less expensive LN55C630 model. The other key differences between the C630 and C650 are that the C630 lacks Samsung Apps and features a semi-matte panel as opposed to the C650’s Ultra Clear Panel. Regardless of your preferences, both sets deliver excellent performance at a very reasonable price and come strongly recommended.

Only problem I have had with my Samsung, was the fact I got the TV before my HD receiver was installed by DISH, so for the first 3 days the picture was not even nice, but now that I got the 722k receiver, with the free HD for life, the picture is how I remember seeing it at DISH where I work. .
I I bought this TV and it crapped out in less then two years. Obviously it was out of warranty period. I would recommend everyone get extended warranties for these TVs.
Has this TV even been out for 2 years??
